The wood-carved frame was most likely made for the panel with the Madonna from the St Vitus Cathedral. It is decorated by twelve medallions. In the corners of the frame angels hold the inscription bows with the text of the Marian hymn "Regina coeli...". The upper rail represents two saints: St John the Evangelist and St John the Baptist. In the left vertical rail we can see the Bohemian patron saints: St Wenceslas and St Sigismund; on the right there are St Vitus and St Adalbert. On the lower rail there are medallions with St Procopius and a kneeling church dignitary wearing a mitre on his head, but lacking the staff and pall, thus casting doubt upon the traditional hypothesis that the commissioner was the Prague Archbishop Jan of Jenštejn.
Jan Evangelista a sv. Jan Křtitel. Na levé svislé liště vidíme vyobrazení zemských patronů sv. Václava a sv. Zikmunda, na pravé sv. Víta a sv.
