Portrait of Charles William Lambton ('The Red Boy')
This famous portrait was commissioned by the sitter's father and exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1825. It received further attention thanks to a popular story that Master Lambton's clothing had originally been painted yellow. The frame is original, selected by Lawrence from the frame maker George Morant.
