Saints Fabian and Sebastian

Saints Fabian (left) and Sebastian both have their feast days on 20 January. They are frequently shown together and were invoked against the plague. This was probably painted for the Brothers of the Misericordia, who tended the sick in Siena. Two Brothers are shown kneeling in the lower corners.
