The Virgin and Child with Six Angels and Two Cherubim

The Virgin's standing pose shows off her sumptuous attire. All the figures are wearing contemporary Florentine fashions, perhaps indicating the panel's intended domestic setting. At this date, gold backgrounds were still popular. Here, the gold is incised with cherubim.
