As told in Virgil's Aeneid, the Trojans pull a wooden horse into their city, thinking it an offering from the Greeks to the goddess Athene. Cassandra, who prophesied disaster, is seized by soldiers in the background. The Trojans realise her wisdom when Greek soldiers emerge from the horse and sack Troy.
