Saint Cecilia

Saint Cecilia was an early Christian martyr. She holds the palm of martyrdom in her right hand. She is also the patron saint of music and the portable organ on the left is her attribute. The angel behind her holds a harp. The artist was born at Cortona in Tuscany and spent most of his life working in Rome as a fresco painter and architect.
