The Boar Hunt

To the sound of a bugle, a group of hunters - some mounted and others on foot attack a wild boar. They are aided by dogs. Strong accents of pink, blue and orange carry the eye across the picture plane. The frame, carved about 1715, includes the heads of dogs and boar echoing the picture's subject.
