Adoration of the Shepherds

An angel has guided the shepherds to the stable where the Virgin holds the swaddled Child. This panel is part of a predella of an altarpiece attributed to Jacopo di Cione, with whom Niccolò di Pietro Gerini often collaborated. The altarpiece came from the Clare convent of Santa Maria di Monticelli.
