The Virgin and Child

Christ stands upon a sill and the edge of the painting is treated as a window opening. The minute details, most notable of light playing on the golden curls and on the silk scarf, are unusually well preserved. The painting has been returned to its original shape. It had previously been adapted as a rectangle.
