Joseph sold to Potiphar
The boy in the foreground wearing a pale yellow robe is Joseph. He has been sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt. He stands before Potiphar, captain of the Pharaoh's guard, who has just bought him from a group of Ishmaelite traders. The Ishmaelites are on the left, gathering up their payment.
