Portrait of a Man (Jan van Winckele?)
The sitter's matching hat and coat suggest he was connected with the University of Louvain, in modern-day Belgium. Since Jan van Winckele knew Bouts well, and in 1462 was made Notary to the Conservator of the Privileges of the University, it is likely that the portrait represents him.
