Cenotaph to the Memory of Sir Joshua Reynolds

The monument to the English painter Sir Joshua Reynolds was erected by the collector and benefactor Sir George Beaumont in the grounds of his home, Coleorton House, in Leicestershire. It was flanked by busts of Michelangelo, seen on the left, and Raphael. In front of the monument, a startled stag turns towards the viewer.
