Time unveiling Truth
The winged figure of Time holds a scythe and reveals the face of Truth with a globe at her feet. She in turn unmasks Deceit. On the left are the four Cardinal Virtues with their various symbols: Fortitude, nearest the viewer, with a lion; then Justice with sword and scales; Temperance, holding a water pitcher and Prudence, a snake.
