Crucifix
Christ hangs lifeless on the Cross. He is mourned by the Virgin on his right and by Saint John the Evangelist on his left. Monumental crucifixes such as this were commonly hung high above altars in Italian churches. This one is considerably damaged and partly repainted. Segna di Bonaventura was Duccio's nephew and among his most important followers.
