Kentaur umarmt eine Bacchantin

Diese in Italien hergestellte Gruppe befand sich im 19. Jahrhundert in Frankreich. Es wurde wahrscheinlich vom Künstler zurückgelassen, als er sich von 1778 bis Anfang 1779 in Frankreich aufhielt. Sergel fertigte für diese Komposition mehrere vorbereitende Zeichnungen an, die sich heute im Nationalmuseum in Stockholm befinden.
