The Judgement of Midas
The gods Apollo and Pan had a musical contest which was judged by King Midas. When Midas chose Pan as the winner, Apollo punished him by giving him the ears of an ass. Midas stands between Pan, with goat's legs and holding panpipes, and Apollo, crowned with laurel and holding a lyre.
