Portrait (supposed to be of Battista Fiera)

Fiera, named on the back of the painting, was a poet and writer on medicine in Mantua, where Costa became court artist in 1506. The painting was once thought to have been made when their two residencies coincided. But the shape and three dimensionality of the man's features is much closer to Costa's style in the 1490s.
