Each of the figures present at the Entombment of the Saviour into the Sarcophagus, which is situated diagonally, experiences its pain in a specific way. Mary's pall (peplum) is stained with blood. It is interesting that a minuscule part of the pall was enshrined in the reliquary in the clasp (agrapha) of the overcoat of the Virgin Mary of Roudnice another of the Master's works. The choice of the saints on the outer side of the panel was induced by the consecration of the church monastery to St Giles and by the order's iconography dominated by the order's founder St Augustine and the church Father St Jerome - patron of the scriptural translators and scholars.
Osoby přítomné ukládání těla Spasitele do diagonálně umístěného sarkofágu individuálně prožívají bolest nad Kristovým skonem. Jiljí a řádovou ikonografií, v níž dominují zakladatel řehole sv. Augustin a církevní Otec sv. Jeroným - patron překladatelů bible a teologů.
