The Annunciation
In a comfortably furnished room the Archangel Gabriel announces to the Virgin Mary that she will bear God's son, Jesus Christ. The scene is framed by an arch on which perch statues of Old Testament prophets. This is one of several scenes of the life of Christ from the Liesborn Altarpiece.
