Die Tafel, die einst in der Privatkapelle des Stifters hing, zeigt Bartholomäus Heisegger, der von seinem Namenspatron, dem Hl. Bartholomäus, der Gottes mutter und dem Christuskind empfohlen wird. Das Kind schlägt die letzte Stunde des Stifters an, dessen Leichnam, in Tücher gehüllt, bereits im Vordergrund des Bildes liegt. Die kleine Schrifttafel darunter enthält ein Fürbittgebet.
The tablet, which hung in Heisegger's private chapel in St. Mary's, shows him being presented to the Madonna and the Infant Jesus by St. Bartholomew, his patron saint. The Infant is ringing-in Bartholomäus' final hour, whose cloth wrapped corpse already lies in the foreground of the picture. The small inscription below is a prayer of intercession.
